over $1 billion in market capitalization through his prior start-ups.
Before founding Escalate, Inc., Keng played a key role in repositioning
and revitalizing Netscape from a browser company into an enterprise
software company, as well as integrating the December 1997 acquisition
of Kiva Software, a company Keng founded, into Netscape.
Keng was Vice President & General Manager of Netscape's Application
Platform & Web Content Product Division. In this role, Keng
drove Netscape's application platform, web server, web hosting,
core infrastructure technologies, and development tools businesses.
In the process, he shaped and consolidated many loosely tied product
groups and under-performing business units into a $200 million
division, the Application Platform and Managed Content Division,
responsible for Netscape's most strategic products and next generation
Internet application infrastructure products. In addition, the
Kiva Application Server has become the foundation for the web
infrastructure product strategy of the SUN/AOL/Netscape enterprise
alliance, iPlanet.

the position of CEO and President up to the point of acquisition
by Netscape. As Founder and CEO of Kiva Software, Keng pioneered
the Internet Application Server market by legitimizing the market
for Application Servers, driving the vision for next-generation
Internet-based business applications, and establishing Kiva Software's
Application Server solution as the industry leader.
Kiva's Application Server powers mission-critical commerce for
such leading Internet transaction sites as Bank of America, Chase,
E*Trade, GTE, Lucent, Sony, Travelocity and many others. The company
received awards including the prestigious Gartner Group Internet
and Electronic Commerce (iEC) award in the category of "Electronic
Commerce Over the Internet" in 1996, and the Best of Comdex award
for Best Internet Software in 1997. Kiva's Application Server
continues to be recognized as the clear market leader.
Prior to founding Kiva Software, Keng helped build several successful
venture-backed software companies that introduced innovative products
for new markets. As one of the five original developers at Approach
Software, Keng developed the award-winning database development
system Approach for Windows. Lotus Development Corporation acquired
Approach Software in 1993. Keng began his career with Oracle as
